The Smartest Town
In the summers of 2012 and 2013, flemish television production company woestijnvis invites every flemish town to assemble a crack male-female quiz team to compete for the title of ‘smartest flemish town’. More than 250 towns accept the challenge and enter the preselection event at the start of december. With the country’s top quizzers, the winner of the canvas crack series, de pappenheimers, the iq quiz, blokken, waagstuk, the super prestige... And captained by their local mayor, the top 81 teams face off in this tv quiz show.
Both seasons are hosted by michiel devlieger. In season 1, sven de leijer filmed a short report on each of the competing towns. In season 2 he was replaced by reporters elodie ouedraogo and jo badisco.
